The efficient order
- Claim your Departure Sparkling Egg. Every new Pathfinder gets one guaranteed Sparkling free from the Institute. If you have not hatched yours, that is Sparkling #1.
- Bank Sparkling Crystals toward a Cube (1,000). A Sparkling Cube guarantees the catch and applies the trait to any wild Aniimo — it is the only way to choose exactly which species goes shiny. Save it for your favorite, not your first.
- Breed it forward. Once any breedable line has one Sparkling, inheritance runs at 100% — one lucky catch (or one Cube) becomes an infinite supply for trades with friends.
- Push collection to 80% for the Radar. The Apex perk pings “Sparkling Aniimo detected nearby”, which removes the searching. Bring your best pods — the alert does nothing for the catch itself.
- Let the lottery run last. At 1 in 20,000 with no pity, wild hunting is a background activity, not a farm. Check your real odds in the calculator before committing an evening.

What Sparkling is — and is not
It is a trait, not a form
Sparkling sits on a separate axis from regional forms: a regional variant can also roll Sparkling, and neither blocks the other. Weather and time of day do not touch the rate.
One species is excluded
Irisalis cannot appear Sparkling. The other 88 of 90 listed species share the same flat 1-in-20,000 rate with no published per-species variance.
